
We are committed to high quality dance instruction for children and youth. Towards this end, AD&M: The School has presented four summer intensives for serious young dance students, ages 12 through 20.

The First Annual Summer Intensive was held for two weeks at the Veterans War Memorial Building in Santa Barbara. The program featured instruction by Carrie Diamond in ballet, Rina Van de Camp in modern dance, and Sarah Breck in East Coast swing.
The Second Annual Summer Intensive was presented in conjunction with the Santa Barbara Ballet Center at their studios and was held for two weeks. The program featured instruction by Carrie Diamond and Denise Rinaldi in ballet, Christina Sanchez in Horton technique, Carlos Fittante in Balinese dance. Composition and choreography formed a major part of the intensive, taught by Carrie Diamond with music for dancers taught by Eric Valinsky
The Third Annual Summer Intensive was was held for two weeks at Santa Barbara's Center Stage Theater. The program featured instruction by Lizabeth Skalski in ballet, Carlos Fittante in Baroque dance, Christina Sanchez in contemporary technique, Denise Woods in jazz, and members of Salsa Barbara in salsa. Carrie Diamond taught Improvisation and Collaboration and Eric Valinsky taught music for dance. A public performance by the students took place at Center Stage Theater on Saturday, July 14th.
